Product Description
The 2004/2005 OSHA Handbook presents a step-by-step compliance process for the standards most cited by OSHA under General Industry. This comprehensive working resource is specifically designed to help reduce the potential of higher fines and penalties when inspected by OSHA. The illness and reporting requirements chapter has been completely overhauled from the last edition (2000) and not only contains copies of the new 300 and 301 logs, but also includes complete information on how to record injuries, how to record illnesses and a new section on applying First Aid. A chart showing the difference between the old reporting requirements (200 forms) and the new is provided as well. A brand new chapter on ergonomics has been added. Even though there is not a mandatory ergonomics regulation, OSHA will cite companies for this under the General Duty clause. Changes to the respiratory protection requirements are included, which is now the third most fined area for b! usinesses. Lockout-tagout, Electrical Safety Program, Confined Space, Noise Exposure, Personal Protective Equipment are examples of other chapters in the book, including a whole section on the training requirements. A self-administered checklist that a Safety Director can use to determine the strengths and weaknesses in their own plants is also included.
